“You know, prophets are just weird. We are so strange.”

The Lord said, “No, no, you don’t have enough intercessory prayer mobilized to really stabilize this economy.” So I wrote a friend of mine, a South African friend…

She makes God sound like a brat on Facebook: If I can get 1,000,000 likes, I won’t wreck your economy!

This is just another take on the same argument that someone didn’t try hard enough or didn’t care enough.  Oddly enough, it’s not God who tells us that we didn’t try hard enough or didn’t care enough, it’s somebody else concluding the same.  That’s their conclusion and they put words in God’s mouth.  I honestly can’t understand why they put words in God’s mouth, and I can’t understand why they can’t see that they are putting words in God’s mouth.

I don’t really know much about this woman, but I’ve seen a number of clips like these online. I can’t remember ever hearing any sort of audience reaction. It’s fun to imagine her standing and talking into a microphone to an empty room: “You know, prophets are just weird. We are so strange.”
