Every time I hear the phrase “Real Man” I just cringe at the presumption of the speaker. As if variation within the male gender is a tragedy: Only one kind of man counts, and any who do not naturally exhibit his traits are inconsequential and even (in the minds of homophobes) hateful.
This kind of bias is everywhere. Male figure skaters endure broken bones and persevere for years in training regimens that would put a lot of ‘Real Men’ into therapy. Yet because the sport has feminine as well as masculine aspects they are treated as though they don’t qualify as a men at all.
There seems to be a lot of backhanded misogyny involved in descriptions of masculine men. As in ‘He is not .” Ladies?
These are great! You should do one of a man who is Marrying two women, turn the slogan around. That it takes real men/priests/justice’s of the peace, that have the balls, to actually marry two women together.
Judging from this lady’s hair and greasy foundation, it is apparent that she doesn’t know any gay men, to be making such blanketed statements.
Its the nail polish that makes it sing!

Juston: I’d say it’s not misogyny per se, but the same thinking which leads to misogyny: that biology and gender roles are the same thing.
I have to say, this logic has always confused me: why is it “manly” (and therefore strong) to only have sex with people who are smaller and weaker than you, but “feminine” (and therefore weak) to be the recipient in penetrative sex?

The drag-queen at the top seems the most masculine of them all.
Well I was really impressed with the picture of Miss Romny….I believe the bumper sticker should abe altered form Mitt it should read “Real Men Marry Many Women”.
Drag Queen? No honey I want to know what queen did her hair and makeup. How mean, I can see her hair dresser now saying “yah girl the frumpy crazy cat-lady look is allll the rage this year!”….
Female at the top, the Concerned Woman of America, looks like a Jersey Shore reject, no?

You’d think a “concerned woman” wouldn’t want gay men to marry women. Therefore, she should be pro same-sex marriage. But they’re too blinded by their homophobia to see any logic.

Actually I don’t think a “concerned woman” is bothered about that – just so long as it’s SOMEONE ELSE’S daughters/sisters etc. that they marry.
So, I only have to MARRY a woman, I can still sleep with my partner! OK!
