Sarah Palin doesn’t want to be a lame duck governor.
I cannot stand here as your governor and allow the millions of dollars and all that time go to waste just so I can hold the title of governor.
Okay, then suppose Sarah Palin won the presidency in 2012, and a second term in 2016. On January 20, 2017, she would be a lame-duck president and then — if she really believes her own logic — resign immediately.
So she’d be a one-term president. But if she didn’t plan to serve a second term, that would make her a lame-duck president in her first term. And — according to the precedent she just set — that would mean she’d have to resign as soon as she took office on January 20, 2013.
In other words…(drumroll, please) Sarah Palin has promised she will never be president.
Let’s hold her to that.
Amen.
LET’S FUCKIN’ HOPE SO.
