This was very well written. Rob, it’s so nice to have a rational voice dealing with all this. I especially liked the questions Peter asks Maggie about how the gays are imposing their definition of marriage on others.

The only critique is that Mags would argue that she doesn’t want to ban anything, she just wants traditional marriage to be the one and only standard. Which has the net effect of banning gay marriage, but Mags wouldn’t ever openly say that directly.
Otherwise sound and brilliant, as per usual.

Who has a voice that grates like a garbage disposal.
I have been appealing to Brian Brown and NOM to redirect their energies towards awareness of domestic violence and how insidious it is and it’s ability to be extremely divisive and dangerous.
No sale. No response at all.
Just yesterday, a 26 year old man, went to Lake Havasu and confronted his ex girlfriend who was throwing a birthday party for her new boyfriend. The ex shot and killed her (the mother of his 18 mo son and 4 yr old daughter)and four others in the house. A sixth victim is in critical condition. He then drove 250 miles to Rancho Cucamonga, CA and killed himself.
Six people dead.
Five in a single house in AZ.
Not the first of many incidents of whole groups of people being wiped out stemming from domestic violence.
The girlfriend had put out a restraining order on this guy. And I doubt NOM cares how many are lodged with the authorities, and how many of them are violated and the victims end up dead.
I tried telling the FRC about the need to do something about domestic violence as well.
They are all too busy being anti gay to care.
So, if there are saints who will triage who gets to heaven and who doesn’t, I think those questions in this clip will be proof that despite EVERY opportunity, someone reaching out to help Mags and Brian get in, they ignored them.
Well, it’s perfectly obvious that Saint Peter is one of those activist, liberal saints. Probably a homosexual too. But we won’t talk about that.

I always suspected St Peter was a hateful, intolerant, anti-religious bigot. Now I have the power of Maggie Gallagher’s logic to prove the case.
Thank goodness Ms Gallagher supports only one kind of traditional marriage and opposes all other kinds, both modern and traditional. It simplifies matters enormously. I wish her the best of luck in locating the sort of super simple society where her definition of marriage is applicable.
I wonder what language they’d speak in that simple society. I guess it wouldn’t be English. The word marriage is generally defined in a number of different senses and in most dictionaries I’ve seen, only one or two of those senses specify a union of opposite genders.

My wife and I were impressed with this skit. It should become a televised ad, and go viral as well! Why should we quietly tolerate the abuse heaped on us by the likes of Maggie? Call it for what it is: hypocritical stupidity… ignorance can be remedied, but stupidity is hopeless… however stupidity seems to be contagious, as evidenced by the NOM…
My only problem with this is that this animation was a bit more attractive than the real Maggie Gallagher.

Great video. I too live in MN where the local archbishop just mailed Catholics a hideously immoral, homophobic dvd asking Catholics to vote for the Republican candidate for governor because he won’t support legislation approving civil gay marriages. It’s full of blatant lies and unsupported comments about the “consequences” of two people of the same gender marrying and how harmful it will be to the children. Maggie is prominently featured. My head may explode from the nonsense it espouses. The “sanctity” of traditional marriage? Are you kidding me? People who believe in this bullshit will never be convinced of anything other than their bigoted perception of reality; they will all have to die off before society is accepting of the way God created us. The nuns in the 50′s and 60′s taught me that God made us all equal, and the diversity of humanity was His gift to us. Apparently they’re not teaching that anymore in Catholic schools, which is why I will no longer financially support anything to do with the Catholic church. Amen.
