I’ve always loved this clip, and I’m delighted that recent events give me an excuse to make a quick video around it. I’m preaching to the choir with this, but that’s okay. We need to build an army of well-informed gays and lesbians who are ready to correct the religious right’s lies in conversations with friends, family, and co-workers. Here’s some ammunition. Your tax dollars at work. I originally started this blog to document my experience in organizing a protest. I’ll have to write more about that, but in the meantime, here’s a video of the event, created by two filmmakers at FutureView Entertainment. I’m so tired of hearing the religious right complain about hateful, intolerant gays. And now they’re trying to co-opt the word “bashing.” It’s their deliberate attempt to trivialize the challenges we face. But this time they’ve gone too far. By the way, I misnamed the group in the video. It’s “Christian Anti-Defamation [...] I actually put this together around Christmas time, but better late than never. |
