I’m 48 today.
By an odd twist of fate, it’s Will’s birthday, too. We’re going out to dinner at our favorite “special night” place, Larchmont Grill. I called them and told them it was my birthday and my boyfriend’s, too. The host got all happy-sounding and put down a special note next to our reservation, so it’ll be fun to see if they do anything extra for us. This is sort of freedom we can take for granted in Los Angeles, freedom that might not be so available to gay couples in other parts of the country.
And speaking of my Western Pennsylvania roots, what does it say about me that the dish I’m most excited about at this fancy restaurant is their macaroni and cheese? They serve it in a cast-iron skillet.
Blogging’s been light the past few days because I’ve been working on a new youtube video. This one’s been a challenge in a number of ways. Look for it Sunday or Monday.
