NOM's Response to Obama's DOMA Decision

Good lord, I agree with NOM! It’s president, Brian Brown, offered this reaction to Obama’s decision on DOMA:

We have not yet begun to fight for marriage.

That’s right Brian. So far I’ve only seen NOM fight against the right of people to marry.

When you do begin to fight for marriage, give us a call.

DOMA: Hit hard, but not dead

President Obama has instructed the Justice Department not to defend Section 3 DOMA in court (the section that defines marriage as a man-woman relationship for federal purposes), because laws around gays and lesbians deserve a level of scrutiny higher than rational scrutiny.
