I Hope I Didn't Break this Thing

I’ve upgraded the comments functionality.  I may continue experimenting, but this is what I’ve done so far:

"What did he just say?"

I watched the Rally to Restore Sanity on TiVO and I skipped through a lot of it. But I wish I’d been in crowd when Jon Stewart said,

We can have animus without being enemies.

I wanted to see the rallygoers murmur to each other, “He wants us to have enemas?”

Because I am that immature.

Suicide, Responsibility, and the Teenaged Brain

Anti-gay activists want to duck responsibility for anti-gay bullying and teen suicide. I Can't Even Think of What to Say Right Now

Midland School Board member Clint McCance, writing on Facebook:

Seriously they want me to wear purple because five queers killed themselves. The only way im wearin it for them is if they all commit suicide. I cant believe the people of this world have gotten this stupid. We are honoring the fact that [...]

They Violated My Rights!

Life’s been busy, so I’m again allowing Peter Barber Gallagher-Sprigg to publish another guest column. (And I believe he owes a H/T to JoeMyGod.)

They Violated My Rights!
by Peter Barber Gallagher-Sprigg

Maggie Gallagher says:

We are already seeing the engine of state power being used to exclude traditional religious believers, especially from posts of cultural power [...]
